Announcing AAAFSA's Annual RAISE Awards - Accepting Nominations through May 1st, 2017

The Asian/Asian American Faculty and Staff Association

at The University of Texas at Austin

Proudly Announces the Annual

Recognizing Asian & Asian American Faculty & Staff InstillingStrength and Excellence Awards

As the semester and academic year draw to a close, this is the time for our organization to recognize and honor our outstanding colleagues for their contributions to AAAFSA and the UT community over the past year.

A total of three RAISE awards will be presented to one faculty member, one staff member, and one graduate student who have each demonstrated a strong commitment to the welfare and concerns of the entire UT Asian/Asian American community. (Nominees do not have to be of Asian descent, or current AAAFSA members.) The awards are based on peer recommendations and will be reviewed and selected by a committee of previous RAISE award recipients. Please take a few moments to nominate your colleagues (or yourself!) by completing the brief form HERE. Additional guidelines for the procedure can be found on the form.

Please have all completed forms submitted by 5:00pm Monday, May 1st, 2017.

A monetary prize of $500 will be awarded to each winner. Unfortunately, previous RAISE award recipients are not eligible to receive the award again – but we are sincerely grateful for, and appreciate, all that you continue to do. Thank you for paving the way!

Recipients will be honored as part of the annual DDCE’s Community Leadership Awards Ceremony, Wednesday, June 7th, 2017. President Gregory L. Fenves and Dr. Gregory J. Vincent, Vice President for Diversity & Community Engagement, will be hosting this special event
