The Center for Asian American Studies is now accepting undergraduate student nominations for the Honorable Martha J. Wong, Ed.D. Scholarship.
The Honorable Martha J. Wong, Ed.D. Scholarship honors UT students majoring or minoring in Asian American Studies for excellence in academic attainment and leadership.
This year CAAS will be awarding one student an $850 scholarship.
Nominees must be an Asian American Studies major or minor in their first, second, or third year at UT Austin carrying a GPA of at least 3.0.
Nominations must be made by Center for Asian American Studies (CAAS) faculty, teaching affiliate, or through self-nomination. Nominations must include a 250-word statement by the nominee describing their qualifications, student transcripts, resume, proof of major or minor, and a letter of recommendation from a CAAS-affiliated faculty. Faculty letters of nomination may also serve as the recommendation letter. Please submit materials by April 1, 2014 to Sona Shah at Burdine Hall (BUR) 478 or campus mail to CAAS mail code A2200.
