Art History Lecture Series presents Juan Capistran

Capistran, a multimedia artist born in Guadalajara, Mexico and currently living and working in Los Angeles, will give a talk entitled "Foolishness Can Move Mountains: A Conversation about Despair, Revolution, and Transformation." Capistran's artwork is currently featured in two UT Austin exhibitions: "What We Want, What We Believe: Towards a Higher Fidelity," a solo show of new photographs and installations at the Visual Art Center, and "Historical Present," a group exhibition with photographer Ricky Yanas at the ISESE Gallery in the John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies.
