The Vice President for Research invites the UT community to a Town Hall meeting introducing the Bridging Barriers core theme titled, “Nationalism, Inequality, Marginalized and At-Risk Populations.” Concept papers in this core theme explore a multitude of factors contributing to and consequences arising from divisiveness, inequality, and insecurity. This core theme and its associated concept papers can be viewed at https://research.utexas.edu/bridging-barriers/.
The Town Hall meeting is open to all interested researchers on campus, not just those who submitted concept papers.
Schedule of Events:
Event information about additional Town Hall meetings focusing on the other Bridging Barriers core themes is posted at https://research.utexas.edu/bridging-barriers/.
After the Town Hall events, a series of meetings will be organized for each core theme throughout the spring and summer semesters, with the goal of framing a central research question that includes elements of concept papers within the theme. These discussions are open to any interested researchers. To be informed of upcoming meetings, click the “I am interested in this theme” box at the top of the core theme pages that interest you at https://research.utexas.edu/bridging-barriers/.
