Calling All Baby Boomers! Seeking Volunteers for Study Investigating A Novel Way to Counteract Age Related Muscle Decline

We are seeking 50-70 year old male and female subjects to take part in a study looking at the effects of low volume interval training and pomegranate juice supplementation on preventing muscle health decline with aging.

Qualifications:

  • 50-70 y men and women
  • Not currently doing structured exercise training
  • Free of cardiovascular disease or Type II diabetes

Requirements:

  • Perform workouts (3 per week) for 12 weeks on a unique exercise bike
  • Undergo non-invasive testing of exercise performance and body composition
  • Drink pomegranate juice daily

Incentives (FREE):

  • ECG exercise stress test and measures of cardiovascular fitness
  • Body composition analysis using advanced techniques (i.e.; DEXA and MRI)
  • Subjects will be compensated $10 per completed session (30 total possible) and $100 upon completion of the entire study.
