Sponsored by the UT Cardiovascular Aging Research Laboratory. The Dairy Metabolism Study examines the acute effects of nonfat milk consumption on the cardiovascular response. Men and women ages 20-40 are invited to participate, excluding individuals with cardiovascular acting drugs and lactose intolerance. Interested subjects must be overweight and inactive. Contact email@example.com.
Commitments include six testing visits in the morning lasting between 3-6 hours during which participants will consume a high-sugar beverage or high-fat meal, with or without nonfat milk. Additionally, each testing day requires two preceding days of diet and exercise control (food provided). Participants will be compensated $400 at the completion of the sixth testing visit.
