Geography Colloquium: "A Hydro-Feminist Research Agenda"

Dr. Caretta, a feminist geographer, currently Assistant Professor in the Geology and Geography Department at West Virginia University, will lead us through her developing research agenda at the crossing of gender and water issues. She will outline her past work irrigation in East Africa, her ongoing on fracking in West Virginia, and her developing work in Ecuador using feminist participatory methodologies. She will also discuss how the conceptual framework of “hydrosocial cycle” can be further advanced by geographers.
