Get paid while you are asleep

The Diller lab (BME) is requesting healthy male subjects to participate in a thermoregulatory sleep study. This is an opportunity to participant in a sleep study using UT developed technology designed to help people fall asleep effectively and have quality sleep through the night. This study involves sleeping in a bed designed to provide a comfortable thermal environment that matches the body’s physiology state, which is needed for falling asleep. There will be no use of any kind of medicine or drug for this study.

 

COMPENSATION

Participants will be paid $100*

 

TIME REQUIREMENT

Total estimated time will be 2 nights of sleep and one afternoon nap (not more than 3 hours) in the lab. Also one night sleeping with some of the instrumentations at home.

 

RESTRICTIONS 

  • No alcohol 24 hours prior
  • No caffeine 12 hours prior  
  • No tobacco
  • No vasoactive drugs
  • No cardiovascular or blood pressure disease
  • No serious sleep problem in the past month
  • No regular use of sleep medicine in the past month

*Full payment will be made upon completion of the full sleep study, which includes 2 full nights and a max 3 hours daytime nap. No partial payment will be made upon partial completion of the sleep study due to volunteer or nonvolunteer cancellation of the sleep study, or for whatever reason the subject may have.
