Hot Science-Cool Talks: Extreme Weather

Learn how meteorologists work with variability when they are trying to forecast the weather with featured speaker Dr. Kevin Kloesel, director of the Oklahoma Climatological Survey (and a Lifetime UT Longhorn). His talk will include highly engaging audience participation activities.

Additionally, this event features a community science fair with many fun, hands-on weather-related activities. Come experience what it's like to be a TV weather reporter with our green screen setup.

This event is designed for science fans of all ages, is very kid-friendly and a great way to inspire kids into science.

Parking: Hot Science-Cool Talks (HSCT) attendees can get coupons for $3 parking for the San Jacinto Garage at Volunteers at the garage will hand them out to only HSCT attendees. We suggest processing the coupons before heading to Welch Hall because the customer service kiosk closes at 8 p.m.
