McNair Scholars Program Still Accepting Applications for 2014-2015

Are you a current sophomore or junior interested in getting a Ph.D. after graduation? Do you like academic research? Are you a first generation and low income student? If you answered yes to these questions, then the McNair Scholars Program may be right for you!

There are still some spots open to immediately join the 2014-2015 cohort of the McNair Scholars Program. We are specifically looking for first generation and low-income students from STEM subjects, however, we will accept applications from first generation, low-income students in non-STEM fields. To complete an application, please visit our website utmcnairscholars.org and submit an application ASAP (no later than November 30th). Current University of Texas at Austin undergraduate students are eligible to apply and must meet other specified criteria (see application or eligibility criteria below).

The McNair Scholars Program provides undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and/or seniors with research experience, one-on-one counseling, workshops, and travel opportunities to help participants prepare for graduate school with the goal of obtaining a doctoral degree (i.e. Ph.D.).

If you have any questions or would like to request more information, please visit our website, email mcnairprogram@austin.utexas.edu or call 512-471-1205.
