There are many methods of additive manufacturing: in addition to the well-known FDM (fused deposition modeling, think MakerBot) and 3D printing (think Z-Corp plaster prints), there is SLA (stereolithography), SLS (selective laser sintering), DLP (digital light processing), polyjet matrix, and LOM (laminated object manufacturing). Learn about the differences between these methods and view objects exploring different possibilities of additive manufacturing. Featured projects include work by students, faculty, and alumni of the Schools of Architecture, Art, and Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and beyond.
