Volunteer: Church Lab Executive Functioning (EF) Paid Study--Ages 8-18 years

We are looking for children ages 8-18 years with and without a diagnosis of ADHD, OCD or Tourette Syndrome as part of an ongoing, four-year longitudinal study that will look at how different brain systems work together to support mental function, how these systems develop from childhood to adulthood, and how these systems may be affected by developmental disorders. At the first yearly visit, your child will play some computer games, complete paper or computer tests, complete questionnaires, contribute saliva, and visit a pretend MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) machine. After the first visit, we will ask both parent and child to wear an actigraphy wristband for a week that will measure sleep-wake cycles. At the second yearly visit, your child will get a MRI scan while playing computer games and watching part of a movie.

If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to visit our lab website at http://labs.la.utexas.edu/church-lang/, send us an email at churchlab@austin.utexas.edu, or give us a call at (512) 471-2228.

If you are interested in letting your child participate or at least learning more, please go online to http://j.mp/childUT to complete a 15 minute online survey. If your child is eligible, we will schedule visits at your convenience, either during evenings or weekends.
