Racially Diverse Research Assistant Needed for Developmental Psychology Study

The Bigler lab in Developmental Psychology is currently looking for volunteer research assistants who want experience with conducting research with children and families. The study explores the factors that influence children's willingness to seek out and engage in cross-race friendships. We are recruiting and interviewing children between ages 5 and 11.

The position requires someone who is comfortable with communicating with families and requesting their participation. Previous experience with kids and/or research assistantships is preferred, but not required. Additionally, interviews take place off-campus (at summer-school programs), thus, personal transportation may be helpful, though not necessary as transportation can be provided.

This study will take place over the summer. If you are interested please send an email to amber.williams@utexas.edu

PS Please note that we especially need individuals who are bilingual in English and Spanish, as some of the participants are more comfortable with Spanish.
