Texas Arbor Day

Come celebrate Texas trees at UT's Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the state's official botanic garden and arboretum. Join us for:

  • Tree climbing (youth ages 7+ and adults too!)
  • Walks and talks in the Texas Arboretum
  • A historic tree sale
  • A special presentation on Comanche marker trees of Texas

The Arboretum features a scenic trail, swings under the Cathedral Oaks and a substantial native tree collection. Like all things wild, it changes from season to season. And fall is a perfect time for an acorn hunt, learning to identify native trees, and enjoying the crisp air.

All activities are free with admission (and daily admission is free for current UT staff, faculty and students)!

Walks and talks are free but space is limited and registration is required. Register here
