¡Vive Latino!

Join us for an evening of live music celebrating the Latino culture with typical “antojitos” like paletas and chicharrones. Come dance to various genres of Latino music with an opening DJ. We will be featuring the Afro-Latino rock band Making Movies! Built upon a heavy foundation of Afro-Latino rhythms, they have created a bilingual, psychedelic re-envisioning of the Latin American “son". Brothers Enrique Chi, singer/guitarist, and Diego Chi, bassist, grew up in Panama with strong influence from Rock and traditional salsa, merengue and cumbia. In 2009, Making Movies was formed in Kansas City with the addition of percussionist Juan-Carlos Chaurand and drummer Brendan Culp. Chaurand, and drummer Brendan Culp. Traditional antojitos (Mexican munchies) will be provided.
