Greatest address a UT President could give. Please tell Mr. President Fenves to check his email.

It was great to be there & listen to what the President had to say. He talked about the free tuition for students, whose families only make under $65,000/year. I asked Greg after the University Address about Staff and Faculty getting free tuition. He said that they are talking about free tuition for Staff in his meetings.

The speech was fabulous. President Fenves outlined the many successes of the past year, especially initiatives to support equity and student success, and underscored the need for all of us to envision and make possible the next 10+ years of UT greatness.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 2019 State of the University address yesterday

Enjoyed the candor of our missteps - (history in racism, ethics missteps) and show of humility and humanity there, the sense of progress across many domains, and the sense of possibility for the future. Enjoyed it very much.
