All undergrad researchers at The University of Texas at Austin are invited to submit a 2-minute research video and compete for $5,000 in the Texas Student Research Showdown. In this annual video competition, student researchers create two-minute videos about their research, which are voted on by UT students and judged by a faculty panel. The judges’ top videos receive prizes recognizing their excellence in research communication — $2,500, $1,000, and $500 for the top three. In addition, students may choose to compete in an “audience choice” competition, with a $1,000 prize for the winner. Submissions are due Oct. 15, and winners will be announced at a reception Nov. 14. To enter, read the full rules and submit your information through our online form.
