A Higher Calling: One Scholar's Journey of Faith and Social Justice in the University

Join us for the first fall semester gathering for grad students at UT! We are starting our monthly gatherings and having a special time in collaborating with UT law students from Christian Legal Society and UT med students from the Dell Intervarsity Fellowship! We will have special speaker Dr. Mary Poplin give a talk entitled “A Higher Calling: One Scholar’s Journey of Faith and Social Justice in the University”. A native of Texas, Mary Poplin earned her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Texas and is now teaching at the Claremont Graduate University in Southern California. Dr. Poplin has an array of experiences from working with Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta to hosting a summit on Accountability and Social Justice. Were excited to hear her story!
