Ableism and Inspiration Porn: Disabled Not "Differently Abled"

"How We Teach Disabled People to Secretly Hate Themselves"

Texas Neurodiversity is hosting a meeting to talk about how Ableism, inspiration porn, the ableist campaign by the Texas Blazers called #NamesNotLabels, and terms like “differently abled” instead of using the word disabled actually create stigma, oppress, and marginalize disabled people.

This meeting on Monday will be an open discussion over the form of discrimination known as ableism. Here are some articles that may be helpful/interesting to read over ableism - totally not required though.
