Join the Institute team to become part of the civic engagement movement!

The Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life is hiring a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) to support and expand Speak Up! Speak Out! (SUSO), a youth action civics initiative for middle and high school students. The position begins August 10, 2015 and ends August 13, 2016. 

The VISTA will build the capacity of SUSO and the Institute's educational outreach initiatives through strategic planning, community outreach, marketing, fundraising/development, and utilizing volunteers. They will also create content for the Institute's social media outlets, email marketing campagins, and website content. Other tasks may include conducting research, curriculum planning, and event support. 

During your year of service, you will earn either a $5,645 Education Award or $1,500 end-of service stipend and be eligible for loan forbearance on qualified students loans.
