This discussion group meets weekly to talk about the experiences of being an Asian/Asian American student at UT. The purpose of the group is to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere where students can connect and talk openly about what’s going on in their lives.

 

Topics often covered include, but are not limited to: 

  • Identity, academics, racism, navigating between Asian and American values and expectations, careers, sexuality, adjustment to college, stress, dating, and relationships with family and friends. 
  • This group is open to all individuals who identify within the broad spectrum of Asian/Asian American backgrounds (e.g., East Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, etc.). 
  • Graduate and undergraduate students are welcome

Light refreshments will be provided.
