Study: helping alleviate symptoms of anxiety

• Fear of enclosed spaces, germs, public speaking or certain bodily sensations (heart racing/ pounding, shortness of breath, chest/throat tightness, numbness/ tingling, lightheadedness?) 

• Receive treatment for your anxiety at no cost

• Ages: 18 to 65 years old

Evidence for efficacy and safety of laser stimulation

Healthy adults

• Improvement of emotional states
• Increased reaction time and sustained attention
• Shorter memory retrieval latency and increased task accuracy
• Increase of oxygenated hemoglobin concentration and a decrease of deoxygenated hemoglobin concentration in both cerebral hemispheres (Tian et al., 2016)

Depression patients

• Greater symptom improvement among participants whose attention was responsive to an attention focused cognitive intervention (i.e., attention was directed away from negative stimuli)
