Autism Acceptance Month

April is Autism Acceptance Month, and we want to celebrate all the neurodiverse Longhorns in The University of Texas at Austin community! The Longhorn TIES (Transition, Inclusion, Empower, Success) initiative within the department of New Student Services and we want to ask you to help us spread the word about autism acceptance. All month long we will be sharing autism acceptance tips on our social media platforms (@UTOrientation: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), and we created a special webpage: orientation.utexas.edu/AutismAcceptanceGuide.

You are encouraged to review and share this information as you see fit. April 2, is World Autism Awareness Day, and even though we are working remotely, we encourage you to wear bright colors to Light It Up in support of neurodiversity.

Thank you for helping us support our neurodiverse community!
