Dr. Rountree will be presenting research on the disparate maternal mortality rate for Black women, across the U.S. and in Texas. Then, experts from the Black Mamas Community Collective will further discuss research, realities, and possible solutions to assist Black mothers and healthcare institutions to become more responsive. Tea and cookies will be available for attendees. Black Policy & Tea events are held in the Gordon-White Multi-Purpose Room 2.206, focusing on a range of policy issues affecting Black populations in Texas and the United States.
