Breaking Barriers: The Legacy of John S. Chase

On Friday, April 26th at 5:00 PM, the Community and Regional Planning Student Organization (CRPSO) will host a panel discussion on the legacy of John Saunders Chase, a 1952 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the first licensed African American architect in the State of Texas. The panel discussion will address thought-provoking questions from the student body that expound on the legacy of Mr. Chase and what it means for the community at large. The event is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a reception during which students will have an opportunity to amicably continue discussion of the points presented by the panel.
