Cardiovascular health; Participants needed to evaluate the effect of various legwear on arterial stiffness

The new method to measure arterial health is measuring arterial stiffness using Pulse Wave Velocity, a quick, painless, and non-invasive measure. Pulse wave velocity provides a valuable measure of cardiovascular health that is not used in clinics yet.

Your participation would help facilitate and standardize measurement conditions for pulse wave velocity to be ready for clinical practice and enable the early detection of vascular diseases.

If you are interested in participating,

Please contact us at

halimita@utexas.edu

The entire test will take less than 2 hours

Free lab t-shirt will be given for each participant

All the measurements are non-invasive and free of charge that include:

  • Arterial stiffness with a comparison to the norms of your age.
  • Blood pressure
  • Ankle-brachial index (measure for peripheral artery disease).
  • Body composition (body fat percentage)
