The Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice and the Lozano Long Institute for Latin American Studies (LLILAS) present a roundtable that will consider the possibilities and limitations of various forms of certification regimes for the realization, enforcement and governance of human rights. This roundtable and subsequent conversation will bring together a small group of people involved with various certification programs focused on environmental, labor, indigenous and local community rights. Confirmed speakers include José Aylwin, Chilean human rights lawyer and Co-director of Observatorio Ciudadano; Sean Sellers, Co-founder and Senior Investigator at Fair Food Council; Jessica Champagne, Director of Research and Advocacy at the Worker Rights Consortium; Julia Dehm, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Rapoport Center; and Michael Conroy, Co-Founder of Colibrí Consulting - Certification for Sustainable Development.
