Situating her work as a series of studies, prompts, and proposals explored individually and in community with others, Zalika Azim’s multidisciplinary practice takes root through photography, archives, and deep research into the histories of black embodied movement and experience. For her exhibition at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Zalika will present a new iteration of her developing work Blood Memories (or a going to ground).
