 have: Laurel Mei-Singh\, a devoted public scholar\, serves as an Assistant
  Professor of Geography and Asian American Studies at the University of Te
 xas at Austin. Her research interests include environmental justice\, mili
 tarization\, the relationship of race and indigeneity to histories of war\
 , and the Pacific. Her current project develops a genealogy of military fe
 nces and grassroots struggles for land and livelihood in Wai‘anae\, a ru
 ral and heavily militarized region in Hawai’i.
