About this Event
We are recruiting deaf and hard-of-hearing adults for an eye-tracking study. This study investigates how Deaf adult signers of American Sign Language (ASL) read English and process text.
**Participants must have had exposure to ASL by or before the age of 8.**
Participants must first be screened with two screener questionnaires and have an interview session that will take about 30-45 minutes prior to being selected for this study. This will be followed by in-lab sessions at UT Austin for two 2-hour sessions. Sessions can be scheduled for same-day with a break between sessions or on separate days. You will receive $10 for every half hour of participation ($20/hr total). This study has been approved by the University of Texas at Austin IRB.
