In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore emerging intersections of the use of AI and archival research by using exploring Google’s NotebookLM tool to organize, synthesize, and interact with diverse primary source collections. Participants will learn a bit about topic modeling, discovering how to identify recurring themes and hidden patterns across large bodies of text through machine-based analysis, and how AI can advance this work.

By the end of the session, participants will have gained practical insights in leveraging AI-informed digital tools to transform unstructured data or text into structured, navigable insights for their own digital humanities projects.

Snacks will be provided to in-person attendees!

Location: Perry-Castañeda Library Scholars Lab, Data Lab (PCL 2.202) or Zoom
