Artist Tsedaye Makonnen and curator Andrea Achi (Mary and Michael Jaharis Associate Curator of Byzantine Art at The Met) engage in a moderated conversation. The two discuss will Makonnen’s work on view at the VAC as well as Achi’s exhibition Africa & Byzantium, now on view at the Met, with an eye to the ways African Diaspora invites us to think across space and time.
