http://utvac.org/exhibitions/2016-design-mfa-thesis-exhibitionOperating outside the system of known rules and obvious answers, our work addresses problems that exist in the periphery of our society’s mainstream view. Through designed objects and interventions we engage with issues that are taboo, reimagine methods of teaching and learning, and seek to empower underrepresented communities. Embracing nuance and complexity, we have pursued our research by questioning cultural norms and societal systems in order to expand the sphere of conventional discourse.
