This weekly discussion group is open to all students who identify as first generation college students. The definition of “first generation” at UT includes students from families where neither parent or guardian has a four-year degree or higher from a university or college. Students whose parents received a college degree outside the US also identify as first generation.

This drop-in experience is designed to help first generation Longhorns connect, learn about shared experiences and get support from CMHC and each other. Students may also learn about campus resources that can enable them to become more successful and discuss other topics that feel relevant.
