About this Event
The Latino population in Texas has been described as a sleeping giant, given that it represents 40 percent of the state's population and thus has the power to reshape Texas politics. Nevertheless, only 15 percent of the millions of the Latinos living in Texas voted in 2016. Will this be the year when Latinos help turn Texas blue?
In this online foro urgente hosted by LLILAS Benson, Cristina Tzintzún (Jolt) and Victoria deFrancesco (LBJ School) examine what role Latinos, especially young Latinos, are likely to play in in the upcoming presidential and legislative elections. Scroll down for livestream information. Event time is Central Daylight Time.
