This is event is part of a monthly series. See the Learn page on the AI for Teaching and Learning Toolkit for information on future events.

Building on last month's foundation, we turn to applying generative AI safely to instructional tasks. This session explores how to decide what can and should be delegated to AI while preserving the uniquely human work of teaching, and shares practices for using skills and projects to streamline repetitive tasks and partner with AI on polished materials.

Outcomes

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain what meaningful human review means in the context of using AI for instructional tasks.
  • Exercise the delegation competency to decide which instructional tasks should be augmented with AI, and which should not.
  • Use projects and skills to assist with instructional tasks like creating differentiated content, organizing research, and styling materials.
