Irene S. Wu, senior economist at the US Federal Communications Commission, will speak about the US and China’s soft power, considering their cultural influence in two regions: the European Union (EU) and the Association for Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

After the talk concludes at 10 a.m., Irene will chat with interested grad students for an additional half-hour about careers, research, professional development and more. She welcomes questions!
