The Hemi Graduate Student Initiative (Hemi GSI) will host its 2015
convergence at The University of Texas at Austin. This year's theme is
entitled Collectives in TransMigration: Animating Bodies Across Borders and
focuses on embodied, spiritual and ideological connections within and across
imagined, material, state and hemispheric borders. This week-long gathering
of artists, activists and scholars from across the Americas explores the
politics and cultural value of performance and artistic expression. November
