Hija de mi Madre is a drop-in discussion group for Latinx/e women, providing an affirming and supportive space. Join to discuss family-of-origin issues, learn coping skills and connect in shared experiences. These may include mental health stigma, privacy concerns (“la ropa sucia se lava en la casa”), misdiagnosis (e.g., reporting “nervios” instead of depression) and more. Bilingual dialogue is welcome (Spanglish too) if it supports healing and well-being.

This group is drop-in based, and students can attend one, some or all sessions.
