Dr. Brent Iverson will give a talk about his research at UT Austin that led to the development of a new treatment for Anthrax. Dr. Iverson, who is a professor of chemistry and Dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies, collaborated with other UT researchers to fight Anthrax that is resistant to other medicines. The treatment could save lives in the event of a terrorist attack using a weaponized version of the pathogen.
