Infrastructure for Community Health Improvement and Innovation: The Role of Health Information Exchange

Please join us for a presentation by David C. Kendrick, MD, MPH, FACP the University of Oklahoma’s Department of Medical Informatics Chair and the principal investigator and CEO of MyHealth Access Network, Oklahoma’s non-profit health information network.

MyHealth ensures that every Oklahoman’s complete health record is securely available where and when they need it for care and health decision-making, and serves more than 3 million people with its community-wide infrastructures. Dr. Kendrick’s presentation will focus on the following topics, with time for audience Q&A and engagement:

  • The need for Health Information Exchanges/Health Data Utilities (HIE/HDU)
  • Profile of Oklahoma’s HIE including key services and systems
  • Key outcomes and Sustainability of HIE/HDU in Oklahoma
  • Relationships among stakeholders in Oklahoma’s HIE (state, private, academic, tribal) and Role of Governance
  • Relevance to Austin and other communities
