Dear UT Class of 2024 students, 

Welcome to UT! 

As part of Project JUNTOS (TOGETHER), we are conducting a four-year longitudinal study to learn about the experiences of Latinx/Hispanic freshman students,  including stressors, coping, cultural risk and protective factors, emotional well-being, behavioral health, and academic well-being. We are collecting this information through an online survey that will be offered every semester over the course of your undergraduate career.  

The study originated from conversations within our own group of undergraduate researchers, many of which identify as Latinx/Hispanic. Based on discussions of our own shared experiences as Latinx/Hispanic students at UT Austin, we would like to hear more about your own experiences in order to help us better understand how we can support or provide resources to students like you.  

Participation in the survey is voluntary and confidential. No identifiable information will be shared with anyone.  

The goal is to develop programs to support Latinx/Hispanic students as they transition to life at UT.

To participate you must be:  

- A Freshman Student at the University of Texas at Austin

- Identify as Latinx/ Hispanic

Participation will take about 75 minutes. When your survey is submitted, you will receive a $30 gift card to Tango Card, a service which allows you to choose from a variety of gift cards (e.g., Amazon, Starbucks, Adidas, etc.).
