Looking for participants who have a fear of Public Speaking

At present we are recruiting participants who have SIGNIFICANT fear of public speaking. The experimental intervention is completed in VIRTUAL REALITY. 

 

What does participation entail?

  • Assessing eligibility: completing a pre-screening questionnaire online and a baseline assessment in the lab (approximately 1 hour).
  • In person visits: completing two intervention visits in the same week, and a follow-up visit one week later (approximately 2 ½  hours).
  • You will be randomly assigned to one of two intervention conditions: standard exposure or attention guidance

Eligibility:

  • To be eligible you must have significant fear of public speaking and general social anxiety and not be currently receiving CBT for this specific concern.

*Participation in the study will involve being entered in a drawing with the opportunity to receive up to $50.
