Ashkan Jahangiri, member of the Democratic Socialists of America, will discuss the proper course of action towards social justice regarding land use in Austin.

Anti-capitalist struggles for environmental sustainability, living wages, low rents etc. are fought locally. What is the proper course of action if you are concerned with such social/economic justice?

Ashkan is an active member and sits on the leadership committee of Austin DSA, the Democratic Socialists of America. He has been a Policy Analyst in land use and transportation in Austin and throughout Texas at Farm&City, and recently worked as Outreach Coordinator and Field Manager to pass Austin's $250m Affordable Housing Bond.
