Pace Davis will give us a background of Israel-Palestine history, and share his experience of working there to support the popular resistance movement.

From the speaker:
The words Palestine and Israel invariably conjure up images of an age-old religious conflict. But what is life there really like?

I will give you an introduction to the Israel-Palestine situation, and share my story of working there with the International Solidarity Movement to support popular non-violent resistance against the oppression of Palestinians.

About the speaker:
Pace is from Austin. He studied Arabic at UT and spent half a year living in the West Bank and working with ISM. They aim to support the Palestinian popular resistance by standing alongside Palestinians in olive groves, school runs, demonstrations, villages being attacked, houses being demolished, or wherever Palestinians are constantly harassed or attacked by soldiers and settlers.

Molotov Seminar hosts talks at UT by anyone, for anyone, on anything. To be notified of talks or to give one, sign up.
