Undergraduate women - If you are interested in having a greater representation of women in elected office and/or are considering a career in politics, policymaking, or public service, you should apply to this weeklong residential summer institute.

NEW Leadership™ Texas is a national non-partisan program developed to address the underrepresentation of women in American politics. NEW Leadership™ Texas educates college women about the important role that politics plays in their lives and encourages them to become effective leaders in the political arena.

This six-day residential summer institute is held each year on the UT Austin Campus. Undergraduate students attending colleges or universities in Texas or Texas residents attending out of state schools are invited to apply.

The 2018 NEW Leadership Texas program will be held from May 31 - June 5, 2018
