About this Event
The Preston Lab are looking for motivated research assistants to assist neurocognitive research projects. The overarching aim of these projects is to explain the neural underpinnnings of how we form links between related memories in order to support a variety of different behaviors such as reasoning, future thinking, and spatial navigation.
The position will involve substantial behavioral and neuroimaging data collection with a variety of different populations (children, adolescents, adults and older adults). Additional responsibilities will include participant recruitment, preparation of data collection materials, assisting with task development, and data entry/processing. Some of the projects will involve computational work, and therefore programming experience is desirable, but not always essential.
The position will start immediately and requires a minimum commitment of ten hours per week and a two-semester (i.e., spring semester plus summer or fall semester) commitment. Some evening and weekend availability is required in order to accommodate participant testing. This is an unpaid position, but is an excellent opportunity to gain research experience. Please see below a list of the different projects:
If you are interested in applying please contact the Preston Lab (prestonlab@gmail.com) with the subject “Research Assistant Application” and specify which project you would like to be considered for. Upon receiving your application, you will be contacted by lab members running the specific project you are interested in who will then carry on the recruitment process.
