About this Event
2109 San Jacinto Blvd. Austin, TX 78712
In celebration of both Hispanic Heritage Month and recovery, The Center for Students in Recovery is hosting a community ofrenda de muertos (offering/altar for the dead) throughout October.
This is a community memorial where anyone whose life has been touched by addiction can honor and remember those we've lost, as well as one’s own past life before recovery. Everyone is encouraged to bring small to medium-sized objects, photos, flowers and other mementos to add.
The ofrenda will be open for viewing and placing items during regular CSR hours, 10 am – 6 pm, Monday – Friday, from Oct. 4 through Oct. 31, 2017. Participants may reclaim their items between Oct. 31st and Nov. 3rd.
All CSR Día de Muertos events are FREE and open to everyone
