Students, faculty, and staff are invited to an informational conversation with Dr. Nick Winges-Yanez, assistant professor of instruction at the Texas Center for Disability Studies (TCDS) through the Steve Hicks School of Social Work and the coordinator for the Critical Disability Studies program. UT Austin offers both Master’s and Doctoral level portfolio programs in Critical Disability Studies and an undergraduate minor in Critical Disability Studies. These programs are designed to broaden a student’s conception of disability with a focus on the social context and cultural representations of disability.
