I. BRIEF

The Neurolinguistics Lab at the University of Texas at Austin is seeking healthy participants ages 18-45 for an electroencephalography (EEG) study of human brain function. Participants will be compensated $15/hour. Strict eligibility criteria are applied to ensure integrity of the data. Please peruse and adhere to the following instructions.

The experiment will not exceed two hours.

The experiment will be conducted between October 4th to December 2nd, 2022.

This study has been approved by The University of Texas at Austin Institutional Review Board.

II. INTEGRITY OF THE DATA

The data collected from your participation will be a part of scientific research that will potentially be published for public or specialized consumption. The validity and generalizability of the findings from the current study can only be established if you the participant, meet all of the following criteria:

• being 18-45 years old.
• being native speaker of English
• currently not using any medication for psychiatric reasons
• having no history of hearing or neurodevelopmental disorders

Please let us know whether you believe that you qualify. You may be asked to complete a few questionnaires directly pertaining to the above criteria for our records.
